How Score Multipliers Stack
Read base points, chain effects and temporary bonuses separately so a huge total never hides what actually improved.

Start with the scoring unit
Every game defines its own scoring rules. A match may award a base value, a cascade may add a chain bonus and an event may apply a temporary multiplier. Treat those layers separately before comparing totals.
A number displayed after a round is meaningful inside that game's rule set. It should not be converted into a universal measure of skill across unrelated titles.

Multiplication changes priorities
When a multiplier is active, timing can matter more than immediate clearing. A prepared special-piece pair may be worth holding until the bonus window opens, provided the board remains stable.
Check whether the game multiplies all points, only selected actions or only the final tally. The interface and official help text are the authoritative rules.

Compare the right board
Official leaderboard tools support different windows and score formats. Confirm the mode, reset period and ordering before interpreting a rank. A recurring board and an all-time board tell different stories.
